All Breeds Welcome
We accept all dogs, regardless of breed. We assess new additions based on their comfort level, and whether we can work with them to achieve comfortability. Mixing is based on temperament and ability to find compatible playmates.
UK-Trained Expertise
Our owner trained in the UK, where kennels are licensed and inspected to strict standards. She brought that knowledge to New Zealand.
Personalised Care
.Every pet receives individual attention tailored to their unique mental and physical needs. We maintain a 1:15 staff-to-animal ratio on site, with play groups kept smaller, based on each pet's comfort and playfulness. To ensure safe, attentive supervision.

Ideally situated in Topuni, halfway between Auckland and Whangarei, on a spacious property with limited availability.

Eli gets very excited when I say we’re going to puppy Playschool today. He’s even getting better at getting in the car. As soon as we arrive, he’s out of the car and off. doesn’t even stop to say goodbye, he absolutely loves being with you guys and the other Dogs he gets to meet and play with. He’s a very full on pup,and being able to have him somewhere safe for the day, Gives me a chance to do things at home that I can’t do when he’s around. I am very fussy when it comes to choosing anyone to care for my dog. We drove 1 hour and a half to Wandering Willows, and we are happy we did. Our boy is genuinely happy, safe and taken care of here. Punishment is not something these guys use and I appreciate having this peace of mind while we cannot be with our sensitive, sweet dog. I see him enjoying himself in the videos and photos. The team is also very friendly, qualified, and experienced and happy to answer any questions I throw their way.
This is a great cattery, which we have used on several occasions. Our cat is nervous by nature and it is really important to us that, when we are away, she is in an environment where she feels safe. The team at wandering willows is committed to ensuring the animals have a happy and safe stay. The staff are easily contactable and very flexible about fitting in with the cat and owners’ needs. We have no hesitation in recommending this cattery as the ideal place to leave your cat when travelling up
Thanks to the warm and caring team, Billie had a safe 3 week stay (her first time ever away from home) and was a happy, healthy girl when we picked her up. We can't thank the girls enough for their amazing care :)
Our dogs were very happy after their first week stay at Wanderring Willows - running up to us to say hello and back to the carers. This is the happiest I have seen them after being at a kennel.
